We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Drywall Finisher and Plasterer Apprentice. This apprenticeship offers an excellent opportunity for individuals aiming to establish a career in the drywall and plastering trades. The role emphasizes hands-on learning and skill development in techniques such as taping, mudding, sanding, and finishing surfaces. The successful candidate will work directly with experienced tradespeople, gaining essential skills to produce high-quality finishes on walls and ceilings.
Responsibilities:
Assist senior drywall finishers and plasterers with job preparation, including material handling, workspace setup, and site cleanup
Learn and apply taping and mudding techniques under supervision to create seamless wall and ceiling surfaces
Develop skills in sanding and smoothing, ensuring surfaces meet quality standards for painting or finishing
Prepare various surfaces by cleaning, priming, and ensuring proper readiness for plaster application
Clean, organize, and maintain tools and equipment, supporting efficiency and safety on job sites
Comply with all safety guidelines and site regulations, including wearing necessary personal protective equipment (PPE)
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Coursework in vocational training or trade schools focused on construction, drywall, or plastering is preferred.
